Gary Del Giorno
Gary Del Giorno’s training in the arts of combat started at an early age. That journey began at the Atlantic City P.A.L. and it is still going strong today. Del Giorno quickly displayed a natural talent in boxing and within a year Gary was seeking out the martial arts. At age 16 he had earned Black Belts in American Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. The level of fitness required for the Beach Patrol and martial arts coupled with his love of the ocean would stay with him throughout his life.
Del Giorno would go on to train in various hand to hand and weapons systems including Muay Thai, Ju Jitsu, Aiki-jitsu, Iai-do, and Ken-jitsu. He eventually went on to train with U.S. Navy SEALs, Force Recon Marines, and Army Special Forces at Spec War Ops. Del Giorno has been with Kokoro Combatives for numerous years, training in advanced firearms techniques, small unit tactics, Hand to Hand Tactics, and Force Protection. He is currently assigned as an assistant instructor for Kokoro Combatives. He has been deployed to South America over the last 2 years as an Assistant Instructor with Chief Instructor Conde and has taught at the Honorable School of the Commandos and the National Police Dinoes facility.
Del Giorno met Chief Instructor Conde years ago, captivated by the energy and intensity of Conde’s instruction he immediately began training with Kocom. At that time Del Giorno had been searching for a system that went beyond fighting and that brought real world tactical training to the forefront. Gary found it in Kocom. After years of training under the tutelage of R Conde, Del Giorno was promoted to Assistant Instructor. Through his passion and energy Del Giorno exemplifies the spirit of Kocom.
