The time I spent with Mr. Conde was an eye opening experience . I truly believe that the training I recieved will someday save my life or the lives of others, I intend to train with this instructor as often as i can , he is very willing to teach . If you approach his classes with an open mind you will learn how to operate in a tense, high risk enviroment and come home alive . I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank Mr. Conde for providing this training at a reasonable cost . I would also like to thank the other students from DCC1 class, I think we worked well together it made for an enjoyable time the debriefs after the elements was great constructive criticism. It showed our strong points and weak points...... Everyday is a day to improve on what we have learned . Thanx again

I have known Conde for over 15 years. He is one of the best operators and Instructors that I have had the pleasure of working with. By all means he is a leader. He is known for challenging the norm and going where most wont go. He has raised eyebrows plenty of times and has made believers of these same individuals. I am currently a Police Special Operations Instructor and before that I was a CQB instructor in the US Marines. It is my honor to work with Conde in the Urban Warrior Project.

Long time friend. Conde is one of the best Operators and Instructors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. One thing for sure, he goes were most wont go. He has always challenged the norm (like a good leader should do) and at times has created eyebrows to raise. I have been a Law Enforcement Special Operations Instructor for over 15 years. Before that I was a CQB Instructor for the U.S. Marines. I am honored to have been selected to work with Conde in the Urban Warrior Project.

I have known Conde since the Executive Defense Days. Being an SAS Regiment graduate and working in British special operations for 15 years, I was always skeptical of young instructors, specially American instructors. When I first met him in 1995, my first opinion was that he had an old soul. The way he talked and carried himself was not of a man in his mid twenties. What impressed me the most was that his skill and knowledge was way beyond his time. I observed Conde evolve from a phenomenal team leader to a hard core instructor. As I remember clearly he would never settle for the words of others. Everything he learned was put through his own tests before he would teach it to our operatives. Conde was constantly experimenting to make techniques more applicable to real situations. His knowledge is vast and his skills are the best that I have ever witnessed in the area of close defense. To students that have never attended his teachings; Be ready to explore elements of combat that you never knew existed.

I took the FFP class this weekend (2009OCT31). It was amazing training. Alot of instructors have a my way or the highway mentality however this is not the case with Conde. He will show you what is most effective for himself and show you alternative techniques so that you can adapt them and be more comfortable and confident. Conde has a knack for throwing a monkey wrench into a situation to force you to adapt and learn. Which is crutial when applying these techniques to the real world because, as the assistant instructor Gary says, "you have that magic 8 ball in front of you and you need to adapt and put that 8 ball in front of the other guy and make him uncomfortable". Domination mindset is absolutely the best philosophy I have ever encountered. Thank you Conde and Gary; and thank you to all my fellow students.
PS This course was very physically demanding. Please try your best to stay hydrated and rested or you will become a heat casualty.

High Speed Tactical Training. We all had a great time and learned a whole lot. I Highly recommend Conde. He is a top knotch instructor that tells it like it is and can back it up with his skill level. You will not be dissapointed with Kocom!

Combat Pistol 2 was one of the most thought provoking and physically demanding (in a good way) classes I have ever taken. There are many differences in Kocom's approach to teaching. Too many to name here. All I can say is that I will be attending their Combat Carbine Course and look forward to the same type of training. If you want training that challenges you while learning a great deal this is the company to do it.

As a SWAT Commander and Firearms Instructor I get the opportunity to attend many classes yearly. In February of 2009 I attended Urban Hostage Rescue. This course included a mixture of Special Operation personnel from various agencies throughout the east coast of the U.S. and a couple Military guys that flew in from Bolivia.
To my surprise Conde was a young guy, definitely not older than 40. His approach to teaching is very direct and frank. He wears his emotions on his sleeves. Any questions of experience and skills quickly disappeared. The class turned out to be two days of the most valuable training that I have ever received . We were pushed beyond the norm and there was never a gap in training. The extraction techniques were much different that what I had been taught years earlier. The vehicle assault and stealth approach tactics were new all together. The techniques taught were simple and made sense. Conde explained why they worked and when they would not.
Overall this course is for experienced operators that can learn easily. I would say this is more of an advanced course. The qualification course was as difficult as I have experienced. The only thing that would have made this course better is maybe if it would have been taught in three days. I walked out with so much information and eager to bring what I had learned to my operators.

I have experienced many different instructors throughout the USA. What made Conde stand out was his up front no nonsense personality. He pushed us hard yet with purpose. He is relentless with small details that other instructors would not even think about.
By no means is his training conventional and by no means does he try to make it that way. He could care less how you learned to do something. All he asks is that you give his way a try. By the way if you have an ego leave it at home before attending one of his courses. If you think you know it all or you have a closed mind I urge you not to take his courses.
If however you have an open mind and are receptive to new ideas that go away from the conventional absolutely, positively seek his instruction. Oh, by the way make sure that you come ready to learn and train hard!

I just completed Conde's AFK1 course (Sept 12-13, 2009) I have to say it was a pleasure dealing with Conde. He is a very good instructor. He was very knowledgeable and his instructions were very easy to understand. He was also firm and strongly encouraged us to push our limits. At first on our own but later this was "forced" on us during training. He also spoke often of the dominating mindset, which I have always believed was necessary to win in life and in a life or death confrontation.
Having never had any formal martial arts or knife fighting training, the techniques taught were relatively easy to implement with a little repetition and flowed very naturally. This made the techniques easier to apply and obviously just makes sense in any self defense strategy. What I found very helpful was that I learned areas of the human anatomy that you can attack, ON ANYBODY, in order to quickly end a fight, rather than just stab and slash where ever you can in hopes of winning.
We had lots of time for repetition, which helped ingrain the techniques into our muscle memory. It was nice that we weren't pushed along whether or not we had the technique down. When necessary, Conde made sure we took the extra time to get it right. It should be noted that this is not primarily a knife defense course, though the tactics and techniques will help in that area. These techniques are primarily offensive in nature. This is consistent with the dominating mindset. If someone decides to bring on the fight, I am trained to respond and finish it. The defensive techniques are taught in another class.
Having been in law enforcement for many years and having attended many training events, including having had SWAT training, this is not your typical training day. As mentioned above, we took the time to actually learn and implement the techniques. We pushed our limits AND THEN SOME, especially when attacking and defending against the "blue man". Plan on getting down and dirty, bring lots of water and your lunch (you won't be going out to eat) and gloves (or your knuckles will get chewed up by the "blue man", you'll see what I mean). Most of all bring and open mind and lots of heart to fight (you will need it before it is over).
I have to say that overall, this was an excellent experience and look forward to doing many other classes with Conde. Most of all, I believe I have something that I did not have before I arrived to the class, some very good basic skills and MUCH more confidence that I can NOT ONLY SURVIVE but WIN A KNIFE ATTACK!!!

Yesterday and today has been a relief of stress for me during these tough economical times. I decided to take this class (AFK) in order to learn the fundamentals of knife fighting. What I found was that this course went much deeper than just learning knife fighting techniques. You pushed us way beyond where we thought our breaking point was and built up our internal fortitude.
Once again THANK YOU for putting together a phenomenal course.

What I learned in four days of training was more than I did in four years. We were deployed to Iraq with very little training, I wish we would have had this training prior to leaving, maybe more would have survived. Excellent training company and would recommend to anyone that wants to train with intensity and how real shit goes down.
